BGowan Marketing’s own Heather Wibberg walked Saturday, April 12 for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Since the beginning of February, Wibberg has made it her personal mission to raise $1,800 to benefit the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade.
With hard work and the generous donations of friends, family and clients of BGowan Marketing, Wibberg successfully met her fundraising goal. Wibberg thanks M. Fatheree Interiors, Rivela Plastic Surgery, Patti Shannon Properties, Birken Medical Aesthetics, Thumbelina Children’s Foundation, Signature Media, Jeff Paul Custom Homes and many other personal donors for helping her achieve this goal.
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer lasted for 2 days and wound through Houston on a 39 mile trek. Almost 1,000 participants showed up for this event raising 1.9 million dollars. Money Raised was donated to Houston-based research organizations and to help underinsured Houstonians get the treatment they require.
“It means so much to me to be involved in this walk,” Wibberg said, “It is great to see so many women and men come together to make such a huge difference.”
